Effortlessly defined, naturally yours

Permanent Brow Artistry at Journelle Skin

Permanent brow treatments are designed for anyone who wants to wake up with defined, polished brows without daily effort — whether you're working with sparse growth, asymmetry, over-plucked arches, or simply want the convenience of a low-maintenance routine.

Laura begins every appointment with a thorough consultation to assess your skin type, facial structure, and aesthetic preferences before selecting the most appropriate technique. Microblading delivers fine, hairlike strokes ideal for natural results on normal-to-dry skin. Nanoblading refines this further with a thinner needle for even more delicate detail. Powder and ombré techniques use a soft, shaded fill suited to oilier skin types or clients who prefer a more makeup-like finish. All techniques are priced the same and take the same amount of time — you can simply arrive, discuss your goals, and trust Laura to choose what will heal most beautifully on your skin.

Results typically last 12–18 months before a maintenance session is needed, though this varies by skin type and lifestyle.

Please note: Permanent brow procedures require two appointments — the initial session and a perfecting touch-up within 90 days — for the best outcome. Pigment will appear darker immediately after the procedure and will soften significantly as it heals. Final color settles over 4–6 weeks.

Treatment Details

Downtime

None. Most clients return to their normal schedule immediately. Brows will appear darker and sharper in the first week before softening during the healing process.

How to Prepare

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, tweeze, tint, or have any facial treatments on or near the brows for at least one week prior.

Aftercare

Keep brows clean and dry for the first 5–6 days. Apply a very thin layer of aftercare ointment if the area feels dry or itchy. Do not pick or scratch any flaking. Avoid sweating, saunas, swimming, and direct sun exposure for 7–10 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between microblading, nanoblading, powder, and ombré?

Microblading creates fine, hairlike strokes using a manual blade — best for normal-to-dry skin types seeking a natural look. Nanoblading uses a thinner needle for even more delicate, realistic strokes. Powder and ombré techniques use a machine to build soft, shaded color — well suited to oily skin or clients who prefer a more filled-in finish. Laura will recommend the best technique for your skin during your appointment.

How long do permanent brows last?

Most clients see results lasting 12–18 months. Longevity varies based on skin type, sun exposure, skincare routine, and lifestyle. Oilier skin types and those who use strong actives (retinol, acids) may find color fades faster.

Why do I need a touch-up appointment?

Healing causes pigment to fade and sometimes settle unevenly. The perfecting touch-up — completed within 90 days — allows Laura to fill in any light spots, refine the shape, and ensure your brows heal to a balanced, polished finish. It is a required part of the initial procedure, not optional.

Is permanent brow treatment painful?

A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild scratching or pressure. Sensitivity varies by individual.

Who is not a candidate?

Permanent brow treatment is generally not recommended during pregnancy or nursing, for clients currently on Accutane or prescription blood thinners, or for those with active skin conditions in the brow area. Please discuss any health concerns with Laura prior to booking.
